This is great. An indictment on a government, but great.

It was *38C* yesterday. They sad it was only going to be 31C. HOT.

And today they're saying it's going to be 34C. Well, it's heading there, and fast.

*sighs* It's supposed to be autumn, dammit.

Oops, better go to lecture.

oh, and...

I bought a new top. It's blue with white polka dots and has 3/4 sleeves. I love. I got in on sale at General Pants Co., so I'm stoked. And I wasn't even really looking! Yay!

I have decided I want a new job. But I don't.

Humans + change = ...stressed humans. Tragic.

We bought a table! It's pine, with six chairs, and it's one of those extender-tables where you pull it out and the middle comes up to make it longer. We scored it for $60 at a garage sale the parents-in-law's church was having. Mind you, we had to be up at 4:30am to be there by 5:30am to get it, but it was worth it. It's in great condition; just a few scratches to the top and the legs. And it fits nicely in our kitchen because it's smaller (unextended) than the table we had there which was originally donated by my parents. So yay.

Other than that, not alot has been happening. Uni starts in three weeks. Three weeks until the start of my last year of my arts degree. YAY. I then have next year, which is the prac year for education and then I GRADUATE. OH MY. So yes. Two whole years to go YAY.

*yawns* I need to start sleeping better. Meh. Hmm. I wonder if I have time to nap before work...

Our car is in the service centre getting a couple of minor things fixed; stuff they had to order parts in for when we had it serviced a few months back. However, it is going to take longer than the original 'couple of hours' to fix. So instead of hanging around at a local shopping centre, I called my mother-in-law who came and got me and brought me home via the husband's shop. So now I have to wait. They said around 1:30pm (and I got there at 9:30am!), so I'm hoping it's not any later than that because I still have to go and have an OPG Xray (teeth) and do a bit of shopping. It's a little difficult to go places if you don't have a car.

I have matching coldsores again. Woe. They arrived between the hours of 6am and 7am on Sunday morning. I'm putting it down to a big week last week and not sleeping that well that night. *grumps*

And while I wait, I shall do a meme... )

Meh. When I first put iTunes on this computer after we got it, it automatically imported everything to the C: drive. Because our hard drive is separated, C: only has about 20GB so we just put programs and stuff on it, not actual files. D is the recovery drive, and E is the biggest at 85GB. The reasoning behind this is if C gets an virus or crashes out completely, we don't lose all our documents and pictures and music etc. I think it's a great idea, but at the moment, it's driving me nuts.

We wondered why the C drive was giving us rude messages, and it's because half the music I put on the computer is sitting on the C drive. So I'm currently deleting stuff out of iTunes, making sure it's on E drive, and re-importing it. Which is a pain because none of it is in the correct format. And it takes forever. *sighs*

And to top it all off, all the music is on the E drive already, so there was about 4GB of double-ups.

But I am currently in possession of the new U2 Singles Album, and the latest Evermore album, which I am happy about.

Ooh! OOH!

For the Aussies:

Woolworths is donating the entire profits from their sales on Tuesday 23rd January to the drought relief.

How awesome. Do your grocery shopping that day!

Not a whole lot to report here. Working lots.

My friends page is doing funky things; Firefox for Mac is useless and won't let virtually any other program work with it; and everything is taking an age to load. Meh. At least my flist is loading now; it had been refusing to load properly. *kicks safari*

Have been very tired lately, and I'm wondering if my iron levels are low again. I haven't been missing much sleep lately; if anything, I've been sleeping fairly well and for 8-9 hours a night, so I can't think why I'd be so tired. I felt alright this morning, but one of the girls told me how tired I looked when I got to work. I had *bags*. I never have full-on bags. I only even have the black marks, and that's usually just from sinus. So yes. Am going to ask when I get my allergy injection tomorrow.

We got given a 19" box monitor on Sunday - a friend didn't want it anymore and so they just gave it to us. It's really a blessing because our other one exploded a couple of months back and we were using a borrowed one from the parents-in-law which flickered alot. Yay.

It would appear we are going to win the 20-20 against England. Shock horror.

*kicks firefox* WORK, DAMMIT.

It's raining. It's been raining since late on Christmas night. RAIN FOR TWO WHOLE DAYS. And it's COLD. The Bureau of Meterology tells me it's 18 C. *shivers* I have trousers on IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER.

This is insane. Brisbane traditionally has hot, muggy weather in the mid-low 30's for December, January and February. And that's considered lucky - we spend alot of January in the high 30's usually. My 21st last year, which was in mid-October, was hot - I was wearing a short skirt and a singlet at midnight, and we were icky. The *only* day *this* summer we have hit above 28 was Christmas Day, and even then it struggled to hit 30. They're forecasting mid-high 20's for the rest of the week with showers every day. Don't get me wrong, we need the rain, but this is nuts.

Tomorrow's forecast? Min of 18, max of 23. *shakes head* It's BEAUTIFUL. Weird, but wonderful.

Had the day off today with the husband, which has been great. We don't get to see each other much, so it's been great to just go have coffee, shop a little - just generally hang together. So nice. We're both working 9-5/5:30 for the next couple of days, and then it's the weekend! I could definitely do these 5-day-weekends more often.

Rings Master Returns...

Good decision. *nods*
mebfeath: (vmars - looking backward)

I really am not in the mood to do this essay. Someone distract me.

I think I might have a sleep later. Hmm. Didn't get to bed until after 11, and was woken up at about 6am by the people next door banging things loudly. *sighs*

Broncos win 15-8!

I'm happy they could send out Shane on a high note. But I still feel bad for Melbourne. :(
mebfeath: (queenslander!)
I just got up from having an afternoon nap, but I think I might head back to bed. I feel *shockingly* tired. I can barely keep my eyes open and I've been up for about 15 mins. Weird.

Aim for today: Finish History tute presentation due Tuesday. Only about 2/5 to go, so it shouldn't take long. Definitely time for another sleep.

Why am I so tired?

oh noes

Hammond from Top Gear hurt.

Woe! I love that show. And I don't even like cars, really. 'Neurological Unit' doesn't sound good. *wibbles*

I am at Uni, and due to stuff I don't really understand on a technical level (something to do with proxys and https and other stuff) MSN doesn't work. And I have to fiddle around with the settings on AIM to get that to work, and it's all a big hassle.

Thus, meebo = love. And it works in Safari (Mac's version of IE). Bonus. I am happy.

In other news, I managed to get one part of my history assignment done which wasn't due for a few weeks yet, so that's nice. It'll get it out of the way, so I can now foucs on getting this report done (*waves goodbye to Saturday afternoon at Church Camp*) which is due Friday week. *sighs*

And I have an English exam next week too. *sighs loudly* It shouldn't require a lot of study, which is handy, considering I don't have a lot of spare time thanks to this report. And I'm already sitting on 14/15 for that subject. It should be an interesting week...

C'mon, people! I'm in the middle of my history essay, and I need some serious distracting here!

It is BLOODY COLD. *shivers* It's all cloudy and showery and dark and definitely curling up in bed with a good book weather.

Teh intarwebs is telling me it's 14.4C, but 'feels like' 14.2. Brr!

I *cannot* believe it. It's just too surreal.

Steve Irwin dead at 44...

We had a patient tell us today. It was fully weird.

I feel really bad for his family; he has a 6 year old daughter and a 2-3 year old son. Poor kids.

My order has been shipped! YAY! *dances* The estimate I'll have it on Wednesday (30 Aug) or before. DUDE. SO EXCITED. I'm hoping it arrives Monday or Tuesday so I can play with it and use it for Uni on Wednesday so I don't have to type these stupid notes again, but we'll see.

Well, recitation went well, I think. Don't know when I'll get my marks, but hopefully soon.

Just have to print my essays and hand them in, type up my English notes and pay the phone bill. Hmmm, might do that one the way to work considering I work next door to the post office...
