Jan. 25th, 2004 10:18 pmWhoof. Storm, storm, go away, come again another day....preferably when I don't want to be on the computer...
Meh. Massive blackout last night. Sat around in the lounge room playing with candles (managed to burn myself twice on several fingers. Was proud), walking into doors, (my bad) and playing eye-spy ('I spy with my little eye, something beginning with B.' 'Black.' 'Yup.') until we left to fetch Dad. Got home about an hour and a half later and the power was still out. Woke up at about 4am, and worked out the power had been out a total of about 4 and a half hours. (Yes, at 4am in the morning. Meeeh...).
Went to church - was good, as usual! Wandered over to Indro and spent all afternoon there in anticipation of leaders meeting tonight, only to find that in the fierce storm that had engulfed most of south east QLD had caused a tree branch to fall on Leon's house, and the family room was flooding. So meeting was cancelled. 6 hours wasted! Wheee! Saw 'Something's Gotta Give.'
There is a general concensus - there are things one just shouldn't know until one hits a certain age. And I don't even want to know them then. Let alone see them on a 10m x 20m screen. Eww. Won't be forgetting that movie in a hurry.
Watched Legally Blonde 2. That is such a bad movie. Oh my. No offence - I guess I just wasn't in the mood. Whoof.
Aaaaand that's it on my weekend. Having a BBQ tomorrow for friends due to the oh-so-wonderful public holiday (YAY) - Australia Day! Go Australia! *feels patriotic*
