MY GLASSES ARE READY FOR PICKUP! YAY! GLEE! Amsoexcited.

Did I mention I'm getting glasses? No? Whoops. Well, they're blueish-purple and theyaresocool. I cannot wait. The headache from DOOM yesterday had it's origins in neck pain and eye strain. My eyes stung like crazy last night during homegroup, so I'm really glad they're ready. I only ordered them on Saturday, and they said a week and a half, so WHOO!

The assignment of hell is coming along....kinda...I think I'm just going to add some more stuff, try desperately to add the word discourse in there, and hope for the best. I'll be happy to just pass this stupid subject. If I ever consider doing another media studies course with discourse/ideology or anything like that, someone hit me? Thanks.

My Uni rocketh (despite having the assignments from hell) - they lend out laptops for the day! Hence why I am here at the moment; the line for the eZone computers is constantly 4-5 people deep, and they don't have MSN. Heh. I rule. Uninterrupted playing assignmenting till 9pm this evening if I want! Whoo! Except I have a lecture and a tute, and then I pick up my glasses YAY, so probably only until 11:45ish. But still. GLEE.

Must actually work. Ooh, shiney...

I have spent hours working on my education assignment; specifically, one part, which is like a grid kind-of-thing. HOURS. Many people, including myself, have had trouble understanding exactly what they want us to put in this grid, but I finally understood and finished it yesterday afternoon.

We get an email from our tutor last night; they want us to scrap that grid cause it's too confusing and use another one.

Still have to tidy up Discourse assignment; proof-read fix up the diagram, but other than that, I think I've achieved as much as I'm going to.

Played with History assignment, but am going to take that to discuss with him cause I can't find books and he says there are lots. Woe. That, and two hundred words for an outline of an assignment that's 2500 words? Huh. Yeah, right. Nice try, Professor.

Had a nice chat with Ky, had a nice chat with Mum via email. Am happy.

So yes. Off to print off lecture notes and outline, then am off to lecture.

...I had an accident on the way home.

I was leaving Uni when the guy in front of me stopped really suddenly. I pushed on the brakes - not quite slammed, cause I know you're not supposed to in case your wheels lock up - but the car must have hit a greasy patch and slid straight into his back (it was raining). Yup, was totally excited.

The insurance company have been great. Iain rang last night and sorted it all out, so they're handling everything, which is great. The car is fine; the front bumper is just pushed in a little, the number plate is a wreck, but no engine damage, so that's great. The worst part? The AU$750 excess. It's $350 normally, but add an extra $400 because I'm 21. Le sigh. But at least we're getting both cars fixed, which is good. Rating will go down to a four, but that's ok. It'll only take a year or two of clear sailing to bring that back up.

I'm fine, just a sore shoulder and arm and whiplash and stuff. Not fun, but I'll survive. Have an appointment with the Doctor to make sure everything is ok, and just so it can be noted that I was seen in case something comes up.

Le sigh. Bad day.
