Day 1
I'm back at Uni. Freak. Out. It is ohmysostrange. I feel like I haven't been here in *years*. Whoof. So much has happened since November...
Anyways, first lecture - The Rise of Modern Asia - went well. Lecturer is v. cool. There are three lectures in the semester; every other week is a workshop, as in we discuss the readings, etc. Means I actually have to read them. Damn. But there are no tutes. Bonus.
Second lecture is looking....boring. Egypt and Ancient Western Asia. Whoo. I don't particularly want to go...which is strange for me, because I'm usually obsessed with all things Ancient Egyptian. Gee, I wonder why. Sign-on for tutes for this subject is open from the middle of the lecture to the end (as in half an hour). From this, I would deduce that they want us to skip the last half of the lecture. Hmm. Sounds great! Am glad tutes are not on this week.
Rushing home at 4 (not 5 as there ARE NO TUTES! YAY!) to get changed and head out to the Paddo (Paddington Tavern) to eat and watch DCM play. Am so excited - I've only seen them play a gig once. Whoo! They only start playing at 9pm, so looks like it'll be a late night. Combined with a 5am start and 11pm bedtime last night, Heather is going to be one tired chicken tomorrow. (Thankyou, I know that's not new.)
Am going to finish this meme, get some lunch (sum total of food today - two coffees, a bowl of cereal and bacon/egg muffin - am uberhungry) and purchase the Sourcebook for HIST1102 (Modern Asia).
