I hate this assignment.

I would hate this assignment much less if I wasn't sick.

And I was doing SO WELL. I haven't been sick in MONTHS. And I played with kittens on Friday and didn't get sick, and Iain mowed the grass on Saturday and I didn't get sick, and....and...my sinuses are back to their usual tricks. But I've caught it early, so yay. I will be fine by tomorrow. YAY.

So yes. This assignment sucks.

For those who are interested, I am attempting to 'Explain the major developments that have taken place in the Australian Television Industry since its introduction here in 1956.' BORING.

I know. Duude.

1. It's creation.

2. The show 'Homicide'. Made us realise there is something other than dodgy variety shows and US imports.

3. Content regulations. Forced us to see more variety and less US imports.

4. Colour! Yay!

5. ...yes. That's about it. ;)

Seriously, it does. I sent my outline to my lecturer to make sure I was doing the right thing, and she said it looks terrific. Oh my.

But seriously, and this is the argument in my essay, we haven't had a lot of 'major' developments in the industry, but we've had alot of little tiny ones that aren't really worth mentioning unless you're writing a book. A really big book. Really big book. So it's not all that tragic. :D
